Sketchbookless
Thursday, February 22, 2001 I've decided I need to keep a sketch book again. Can you believe I don't have one? Me? The professional illustrator? The consummate doodler? The artiste? Yes. It's a sad but true fact that I do no carry a sketch book with me. I don't even have one I sketch in at home. Oh sure, I have lots of drawing pads, but I rarely use them any more. Most of the illustration work I do is sketched out on Xerox paper and then scanned into the computer. I save all the sketches in an 8 1/2 x 11 plastic file drawer. There was a time when I used to carry not only a hard cover sketch book, but also a spiral bound notebook/journal. Since the digital revolution, I've downsized considerably. I hardly ever carry my journal any more, which is a shame since it doubled as a good doodle surface. I just dug up an almost new 9 x 12 sketch pad. Perhaps I will add it to my totebag. Perhaps. posted at 9:17 PM . link to this post . 0 Comments: |
