Radioactive
Wednesday, August 16, 2006 I went to the foot doctor on Monday. He took x-rays, but no fracture was evident. Then he squeezed my right heel between his hands and it felt like someone stabbed a burning hot nail through my heel. He said that was "stress-fracture-ish". Great. He's sending me for a bone scan on Monday. I wonder what that entails. He told me I shouldn't be around pregnant women for a few days afterwards, because I will be radioactive. Wonderful. By Yes--Radioactive. From what I've read on the internet, they're gonna shoot some radioative substance into my veins and then do a scan on my ankle. Yum.
