Monday, August 28, 2006  Why-oh-why is it so shitty out today? I was really hoping the weather would clear up, but no, it's still raining. This weekend was a homebound bore-fest. I have to wear this crappy orthopedic boot for a month. A month! All because I fractured my heel doing aerobics. This contraption is such a pain in the ass to deal with. Long walks are not all that comfortable, going down subway stairs is an absolute fright and I'm afraid to get it rained on, since I'm not supposed to take it off unless I'm showering or sleeping and I don't want to hobble around in a wet, squishy, Optimus Prime-looking monster boot all day long. I can't wait until this month is over. The only shoes I can wear on my good foot to achieve some sort of height balance are my LL Bean Gortex hiking boots or my old school Dr. Scholl's exercise sandals. I'm certain my downstairs neighbor is going to kill me, seeing as how I'm shuffling around all day long in a wooden sandal and a ortho-boot. Kyle keeps says I have a little Captain in me, but last time I checked Captain Morgan didn't have a peg leg.
