New Balance
Thursday, September 07, 2006

For some unknown reason I thought next week was the last week of Das Boot. Alas, I was wrong--I have two weeks left! I guess it was wishful thinking on my part. I feel like I've been wearing this thing forever. It feels like an eternity.

I wish I could wear matching shoes. When I lose this boot I'm going to go to the New Balance store and get some new sneakers. My old walking shoes are crappy and worn out and I can't wear that cushiony pair that contributed to my fractured heel. I wonder why walking shoes are so ugly. New Balance has all sorts of cool running shoes, but most of the walking shoes are blindingly white or monotonously black. Or even worse, they're that nondescript beige color that just shrieks "Grandma!!!". Maybe they think senior citizens are the only people who walk for fitness.

I kind of want to get a pair of MBT shoes, but they're way too expensive. Every time I get the Bliss catalog they have more styles in better color combos. I dig them in orange and white. I don't really believe they reduce cellulite, but what do I know? Maybe walking around on wobbly sneakers and constantly having to exert yourself to balance might tone your legs up a bit. Then again, maybe it just might make you trip and fall over. At least I'm sure that's what they'd do for me.

I think I'll stick with New Balance.

I so agree on the lack of style in walking sneaks. I love walking, and have never been a good runner, but I'll be damned if I ever wear a pair of those all-white granny shoes!

Try the nb zips from new balance, they're sweet looking. I don't recommend them for running (just for bling).
