Tuesday, September 19, 2006 Tomorrow will be one month to the day I started wearing the boot. Today I had an appointment with the foot doctor. After x-raying my tootsie and squeezing my heel he set down his verdict: the foot is almost healed! But alas, the hard-hearted podiatrist sentenced me to two more weeks of boot camp. Damn. I was so looking forward to wearing matching shoes! I was even going to treat myself to a new pair of Docs. Instead I have to suffer two more excruciatingly long weeks of boot torture. Life is so not fair. In other news, I went to Long Island this weekend to visit my mom, so of course we did what we always do when I go to visit: we went shopping. Somehow we ended up at Kohl's where I tried on five hundred pairs of jeans and ended up buying one: boys Levi's 527 boot cut jeans, size 16. Why is it that those are the only jeans that fit me? Isn't it odd? I tried on juniors, women's and men's jeans. They were all wretched, except for those stupid kids jeans. I hope they don't discontinue that style or I'll be up shit's creek. I also got me some overalls. Thankfully those always seem to fit, in a shapeless, bumpkin kind of way. posted at 9:14 PM . link to this post .   .
