Sketchbook
Thursday, March 11, 2010 I went to the Pratt store today to get a new sketchbook. They have the suckiest selection of sketchbooks, they’re all either too big or too small. And I will only use sketchbooks with a spiral. I ended up getting a 10” x 10” monstrosity. I mean, it’s an okay size, it’s just not practical to shove in my bag.  I got a really awesome pen at my favorite Japanese stationary website, JetPens.com. It’s an Akashiya Bamboo Barrel Brush Pen and it’s just dreamy. Way better than the Pentel Pocket brush pen, imho. I’m not really in to calligraphy or drawing with ink and brushes, but I’m having a great time with the Akashiya. It somehow makes my crappy handwriting look presentable. Now I want to get a whole set of Akashiya Sai Watercolor Brush Pens. I'm not into watercolors, but these brush pens look superfun.
